What is a Pediatric Dentist?
A pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. The very young, pre-teens, and teenagers all need different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these needs.

Dr. Oariona Lowe - Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Oariona Lowe is a board certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentists. Dr. Lowe is currently the President-Elect of the California Society of Pediatric Dentists, past-president of the Tri-County Dental Society, a component of the California Dental Association, and a member of the Council on membership of the CDA. She has been an active volunteer for organized dentistry for many years and loves her position on these committees and boards.

Dr. Lowe received her post-graduate training in Pediatric Dentistry from the UCLA School of Dentistry. She completed a General Practice Residency at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Center which is currently a department of the University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York. Her dental degree was received from Howard University, Washington, D.C. Prior to private practice, Dr. Lowe was the Chief of Dental Services at the City of Hope Medical Center, in Duarte, CA. Her experiences at the City of Hope and the EDC-GPR program, along with her UCLA hospital internship influenced her passion in working with patients with special needs. She has been in private practice for over 20 years.

Dr. Oariona Lowe's practice is a multi-specialty practice offering dental services which include orthodontics, prosthodontics, general and cosmetic dentistry, and dentistry for the handicapped.

About our Associates:

Dr. David Kang, Pediatric Dentist, received his dental degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Southern California. He is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. 

Dr. Lani Chang, Pediatric Dentist, received her dental degree from Harvard University and her Pediatric Dentistry training from the University of Southern California. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Audrey Sheu, Pediatric Dentist, received her dental degree from the University of Maryland and her Pediatric Dentistry training from Loma Linda University. She is a Doplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Jill Shang, Pediatric Dentist, is a Board –Certified Pediatric Dentist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received her Pediatric Dentistry training from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Wanda Claro, Orthodontist, received her D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco. She is dual trained in Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Claro received her Ortho-Pedo specialty training from the University of California, Los Angeles, CA (UCLA). She is Board Certified in both specialties.

Dr. Charlanne Holman, General Dentist, completed her D.D.S. degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She treats adults and children during the week and is available on Saturdays by appointment only.

Dr. Evangelos Rossopoulos (Dr. Ross), Prosthodontist, completed his graduate studies in Prosthodontics at the world-renown Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. He remained a clinical instructor and research fellow at Eastman until he relocated to southern California. Dr. Rossopoulos was on the clinical faculty of USC and Loma Linda University dental schools before pursuing private practice full-time.  Dr. Evangelos Rossopoulos is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists. He treats patients who need reconstructive dentistry and elderly patients who need special care. If needed, I.V. sedation and hospital dentistry is offered to his patients.
